Afloat Repairs

For any repairs to be performed afloat, we have the necessary space to carry it on, and Dominicana Shipyards has all the equipment and machinery to perform any repairs on your vessel while afloat.

New Construction

Our shipyards are ideal for new construction projects and conversions. In our portfolio we have projects including patrol boats, tugs, barges, landing crafts, floating hotel (Fisherman’s Paradise), among others. Dominicana Shipyards performs almost any shipbuilding using the most advanced techniques in engineering and design with a very competitive cost compared to any others shipyards in the region.

Engineering and design

The Department of Engineering & Design of Dominicana Shipyards offers services in naval architecture with detailed designs. Our designs are innovative and meet the requirements and specifications of customers and international classification societies, offering security, quality and efficiency. The Department is led by a highly qualified staff ready to receive any requirement; it is supported by the computer art and the 3D design as needed.

Member of CAFTA

The Dominican Republic is a signed member of CAFTA (acronyms in Spanish of Free Trade Agreement Central America –Dominican Republic) which ensures that most of the materials imported from USA at lower costs by being free of customs duty.

Free Zone

Dominicana Shipyards is authorized by the government of the Dominican Republic to operate under the Free Zone regime which enables us to export duty free to anywhere in the world.
